Location: Luminary, 1204 Broadway, New York, New York 10001
February 29, 2020 from 10:30am until 3:30pm
Do you want to thrive as a parent and in your career?
On February 29, 2020, join us in NYC for a one-day, one-of-a-kind, rarely offered workshop. This workshop is about managing the complexities of parenting and working while both domains are ever-evolving. It is particularly powerful for working parents of infants and toddlers who are in the midst of planning their return from leave or have recently transitioned to new parenthood, and can be just as meaningful for any parent working on the topics below.
What will I learn?
You will have an opportunity to:
- be intentional about how you are approaching major transitions in working parenthood, like the return to work or new phases of parenting, promotions, etc.
- deepen leadership skills for a more seamless transition (such as time management and prioritization when everything seems urgent and important, having challenging conversations and setting boundaries)
- craft a vision for your life and your work that works together
We will also talk about how you can bring this learning to your company and other working parents to help create work environments where all parents can thrive.
What is the intention behind the workshop?
At Spark Collective, we make work actually work for working parents. After conversations with hundreds of parents, managers of working parents, and company leaders, it’s clear that working parenthood isn’t working as well as it could, and we need to innovate systems, workplaces, policies, and more.
At the same time, even in the most supportive and progressive environments, parents benefit from:
- taking time to reflect on this transition and how their values, identities, and relationships between work and life have shifted
- investing in an opportunity to deepen and apply leadership skills like time management and prioritization when everything seems urgent and important, having challenging conversations and setting boundaries, and more
And so, while Spark Collective continues our work with companies and managers of working parents, we are re-releasing a limited-edition, survey-level, direct-to-parent workshop based off our in-depth, multi-week, innovative content typically delivered to parents through their companies.
We are bringing this to you at a fraction of the typical investment because we are in it with you, life is happening right now, that promotion is around the corner, and we want to be here as you invest in your leadership with a highly-impactful workshop that respects your time and resources.
Previous participants have given this workshop amazing reviews and all have been promoted:
“This was such a powerful way to spend my limited time.”
“This was ridiculously helpful in my transition back to work post-baby! Having been in my career for so long without kids, these thoughtful sessions plus the connection to other working parents was huge in getting me through a big identity adjustment. I cannot recommend this workshop enough.”
“I definitely recommend this to all new parents. I had just had my second child and thought the transition back to work would be easier because I’d done it before. But in many ways it was harder. These workshops helped me identify tangible action steps and gave me tools to have the necessary conversations and regain my sense of balance.”
